Most direct sales businesses can bring you profits within your first month depending on how quickly you learn the ‘ropes’ and book your first party or get your Internet presence established.

If you choose to only market via the Internet, it will likely take longer to earn a steady income than if you are doing home parties. Internet marketing requires a different set of skills in order to become successful.

You may be saying to yourself, “I don’t think I can sell anything,” or “I cannot stand in front of people and talk!” Do not underestimate yourself! I have seen some of the most shy people grow and become confident, outgoing individuals through their direct sales business.

What is the key factor to a successful direct sales business? Sell a product that your target market wants to buy.

Of course it’s also important that you sell something you believe in and use yourself. When you are passionate about your products it shows and enthusiasm is contagious. Have you ever had a friend call you up and tell you about a great restaurant they went to, and their enthusiasm bubbled out and made you want to go and try out that restaurant? Direct sales is the same way, if your enthusiasm and passion comes through whenever you talk about your products, people will want to try them. They will want to know more!
